BIGYANK was founded by the work wear company named Reliance Manufacturing Company in Illinois, Chicago in 1919. There were differences in their design from other work wear companies. Especially their unique design such as GACHA POCKET and YAMA POCKET in Japanese as patented asymmetrical pocket attract many vintage lovers. Both convenience pockets are designed for cigarettes. GACHA POCKET was filed a patent in 1929 and YAMA POCKET was filed in 1942. On top of what have already been mentioned, the brand differentiated itself with the design capability, including curved back yoke and eyelet works that served as a ventilation hole to release the internal heat, which held a sharp line against other working clothes. However, as it stubbornly paid meticulous attention to details, it could not win in the price war against mass-produced clothes introduced after the WW II, and lost its momentum. In the evening of its life, the brand produced rather simple clothes, but eventually disappeared.
